Why Licence to Roam

Hi, I'm Ash. For sixty years the Bond films have gone looking for the most remarkable places on Earth: a glass cube on an Austrian glacier, cave homes in southern Italy, an aqueduct over a ravine. The scene lasts seconds. The places have stories that go back centuries.

I started Licence to Roam to bring those stories to life, and to make it easy to go and stand there yourself: where to stand, how long it takes to get there, what to eat when you arrive, and what happened there long before the cameras came.

Built by the people who go

This guide grows with its travellers. The best photos, drone footage, stories and newly found locations come from people who've been, checked and credited before they appear. Big or small, if it makes you say "wow, how cool is that?", it belongs here.

The aerial footage of the Gravina bridge was the first: filmed on a trip to Puglia in October 2026.

Independent

Licence to Roam is independent and is not connected to the James Bond films or their makers. I'm simply a fan of the places.
